Surviving the Economic Ice Age

Much like the toll that the ice age had on humanity, the recent downturn in the economy has killed a huge number of fledgling businesses. Even large corporations with huge cash reserves were put to the test. Only a few small companies employing extraordinary measures managed to survive. This is the story of one of those survivors.

Laurie Taylor is a tenacious business woman. As a co-founder of Leopard Communications, Laurie helped grow the company from 5 to 100 employees before the economic ice age hit. Like many companies Leopard had to cut back reducing their workforce by 30%, laying off friends and co-workers who Laurie had worked shoulder to shoulder with building the company. The process was brutal.

But out of the darkest times comes moments of sheer brilliance. And during this time the growth matrix for business survival was born.

Laurie is one of Colorado’s true legends. Her talk will both inspire and excite you. Heroes like her are rare, so please join us on this very special evening.
