From the days of the American Revolution to the conflict in the Iraq and today, throughout the World, American women have and are honorably serving in defense of our Nation. In times of war and peace, women have responded to their country’s call.
Their contributions are characterized by individual and collective acts of self-sacrifice, patriotism, dedication and personal heroism. While many would say these women are flirting with disaster, the amazing pictures here show us a much softer side of military life.
