Whether they’re teaching us how to fold a t-shirt fast or peel potatoes, is there any cool time-saving hack the Japanese don’t know?! So basically, boil your potatoes as you normally would and then put them in some ice water. It looks like the well-worn science of potato thermodynamics will take care of the rest. Next time the warden puts you on potato duty, you’ll just slyly smile, kick the dirt, and say, “Yes, sir!”
