Austrian ski champion Harry Egger is hoping a space age suit will enable him to become the world’s fastest man on skis.
Egger hopes to reach speeds in excess of 155mph wearing the high-tech carbon suit to set a new world speed skiing record.
The £42,000 suit was developed using computer technology and a wind tunnel used by Formula 1 team Sauber. It is sponsored by Red Bull.
"The material is unbeatable," said Egger, who will use a parachute operated by a button in order to stop on the piste.
The ex-world champion speed skier, who first broke the speed record in 1998, is currently in Vars, France and will make his attempt before April 8.
