A man who had a sex-change operation three years ago recently turned up at a Guangzhou hospital asking for surgery to become a man again.
Hong Yan, 25, a migrant worker, said "she" wanted to become a man again because "she" wanted to marry a woman.
Doctors have urged those considering such drastic surgery to think very carefully before they go under the knife.

Old man drinks nothing but alcohol

A 70-year-old man in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, remains in perfect health after drinking nothing but liquor and beer for the past 15 years.
Zhao Fangying claims that he "cannot fall asleep after drinking water."
His roommate, Qi, in the old men’s home, greatly envied him as he had to quit drinking for health reasons.

Man, 92, asks to marry woman, 72

A 92-year-old man in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, has proposed to a 72-year-old spinster.
Fu Songlin sent a "love letter" to disease-stricken Wang Fengqin. The letter was a 47-character prescription carrying the names of medicines for Wang.
Fu said the old lady was so miserable and poor that he wanted to take care of her in his remaining years.
Wang said she was quite moved by his "letter," but had yet to make up her mind.

Hubby, wife probe each other

Employees at a private detective company in Nanjing felt confused after they were approached by a husband and wife, who both asked them to investigate the other’s extra-marital affairs.
Investigators first followed Li’s husband and found he was having a relationship with a young woman.
Li was excited about the findings, saying the evidence could help her get all of the family’s possessions after their divorce.
However, the husband appeared at the company several days later, asking them to collect evidence about Li’s extra-marital affair.
In order to avoid any further trouble, the boss of the company refused to provide any further services to either of them.

Nude swimming shocks locals

A score of people have swum naked over the past few days in the early hours of the morning.
Some people say that the swimmers’ behaviour is immoral, while others call for locals to be more tolerant of their behaviour.
