More than 17 per cent of junior high school students in Hong Kong claim to have had sexual experiences, a new survey has revealed.
The figure is even higher than that of senior high school and college students.
Researchers from the Chinese University of Hong Kong interviewed a total of 3,790 students, aged between 12 and 21 years old, in July.
Of the 1,222 interviewees aged either 12 or 13, more than 200 admitted having sexual experience.
But only 3 per cent of the local college students said the same, with the rate among senior high school students reaching just 14 per cent.
