Many women eager to be mothers are flooding pharmacies in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, to purchase a device purportedly able to examine sperm quantity and quality, Xinhua reported on its website.
According to sales figures from the local pharmacies, several hundred boxes of the sperm-sampling device were sold within days after it debuted on the local market.
Local experts said the product’s popularity is a result of a growing fear among public that unhealthy lifestyles and pollution are diminishing sperm counts.
