Political correctness run amok with the introduction of anatomically correct crosswalk signals.

It is no longer just little green or red men that allow or prohibit pedestrians from crossing the street in the Spanish municipality of Fuenlabrada, south of Madrid.
The municipality of 190 000 residents has introduced pioneering traffic lights, on which the traditional male silhouettes alternate with long-haired ones wearing skirts, the daily El Pais reported Friday.
Traffic signs indicating pedestrian crossings also show female as well as male figures.
The traditional all-male traffic signs are gradually being replaced with "egalitarian" ones, according to sources of the left-wing municipal government.
Most residents welcomed the initiative, though some said they had not noticed it.
"We are always in such a rush that one does not pay attention to whether it is a man or a woman in the tiny space" of a traffic light, resident Maria del Carmen said.
