U.S. firm Kmart Wednesday said it was expanding its generic drug program to include nearly 70 additional medications.
Under the program, which began last year, customers can obtain a 90-day supply of certain generic drugs for $15. The addition of the new medications to the program brings the total number of drugs covered to more than 300.
The medications added include 17 different formulations of popular generic prescription prenatal vitamins.
"At Kmart Pharmacy we strive to provide healthcare solutions that improve our customers’ quality of life at an exceptional value," said Mark Doerr, vice president of Kmart Pharmacy.
"Our exclusive 90-Day generics program, which offers a lower out-of-pocket cost than most mail-order prescription coverage, also encourages better patient care through personal pharmacist interaction," Doerr added.
