Leszek Wojcik, a bus driver in the northwest Polish city of Slupsk, made $34,000 worth of text messages while trying to win a $36,000 SMS constest that ended June 30, Slupsk city transport spokesman Hubert Boba told Associated Press.
Mr Wojcik sent an average 1200 SMS text messages a day. Mr Boba said Mr Wojcik’s monthly company phone bill was limited to $5.
Mr Wojcik told TVN24 television he wanted to buy a second car with his possible winnings.
"Now I’m without work," he said.
