Spherical Shaped Computer Display

The Sensisphere is a really cool multi-touch display that takes the shape of half a sphere sticking out of the wall. Reminiscent of the fancy displays seen in the movie Minority Report, it lets you rotate and move objects and sort through information using your hands.

The most obvious use for this is displaying the surface of the earth which they only touch on briefly.

While it looks like it could be great for certain niche applications, it doesn’t seem to have the same universal appeal as something like Microsoft’s Surface, which is in a form factor that’s much more practical for many more uses. In any case, this is just a concept at the moment, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with it.
