Cool desk that is part Transformer, and part disposable desk as the technology ages
Now building a computer into a desk is, when you think about it, a pretty idiotic idea. Not only are you saying that you don’t need the flexibility of a laptop, but you’re saying you’ll always be using your PC wherever your desk is. But there’s something about the Art Deco design of Gareth Battensby’s Sync concept that creates an unusual attraction.
Perhaps it’s the massive flip-up LCD that sucks you in, or the illuminated keyboard. Either way, Gareth has at least given some thought to practicalities (which is more than you can say for a lot of concepts), and made sure you can actually use Sync as a desk when the mood takes you.

“The “tower” storage unit for example supports all motherboard sizes, allows adequate cooling and is easily accessible for maintenance. The desk includes a built in USB hub for peripherals, scanner, widescreen monitor, webcam, wireless keyboard and mouse, and storage space for CDs and stationary” Gareth Battensby, designer
Designed as a final year project for his degree, Sync is unlikely to make it into any stores.
