Walkman Phone Xmini

Keep out of reach of little children or they may swallow it

Although slick touchscreen phones from Apple and LG are battling for market share in Asia, a new throwback (read: non-touch) phone from Sony Ericsson called the Walkman Phone Xmini has become a surprise hit among Japanese techies.

Particularly popular among younger women due to its compact size and neon colors, the Xmini debuted last month boasting a tiny full-color display, Bluetooth, and 4 gigabytes of internal memory for over 2,000 digital music files. Currently, the phone is only available in Japan, but it’s worth noting that any phone that inspires a Terminator-style robot to pull a cell phone out of its mouth (see video here) is instantly a device to keep your eye on.
