A unique computer problem has raised its head in Norway after the man responsible for archiving some 1600 important historical documents has died. The problem lies in the fact that he neglected to tell anyone the password to the archive, so now authorities are calling on hackers to get involved.

On Tuesday, Norway’s National Centre of Language director – Ottar Grepstad – sent out an appeal on national radio asking for the help of the hacking community in cracking the system and discovering the password.
