Chinese scientists have used nanotechnology to develop artificial bone that is absorbed into the body and has already helped treat 18 bone disease patients.

Led by Cui Fuzai from Qinghua University, in Beijing, scientists developed the technology — what they call “nano-bone” — over a six-year period.

Nano-bone is a product of nanotechnology that consists of an artificial structure that disintegrates gradually into the human body once it is implanted.
