In a novel take on surfing the web, Intel has devised what it claims is the world’s first surfboard with a built-in wireless laptop.

Apparently the surfboard will allow surfers to check their emails, surf the web, and even record footage of themselves catching the best waves.

The chip giant does not, however, explain how it is possible to keep your balance while simultaneously operating a laptop and riding on the crest of a wave.

Dubbed the Intel Wireless Technology Surfboard, the Centrino laptop has been developed to accompany the 2004 Intel GoldCoast Oceanfest, the North Devon free sports and music festival held from 18 to 20 June.
