An elephant with a fondness for hot coffee is attracting big tourist crowds at a wildlife sanctuary in southern India.
Andaal is among 65 elephants attached to temples in Tamil Nadu attending a 48-day rejuvenation camp at Mudumalai.
The animal entertains visitors with a mouth organ when he is not drinking coffee along with his afternoon snacks.
Her trainer Rameshwar told Asian News International: “Andaal is like a baby, possessing likes and dislikes similar to human beings. This elephant devours hot strong coffee with less sugar and likes to eat every food item that we eat like ice cream, apples, sweets. In vegetables it doesn’t eat drumstick and in fruits it hates papaya.”
