When we first got an e-mail that contained photos of these amazingly "painted" cats, we were impressed. Then when we searched for more information and found out they were a spoof, (thanks Snopes!). In the end we just had to admire the wild cat photos for what they are.

Some people love cats. Some people hate them. Some people allegedy paint them. Here’s the pitch.

"The book these came from said some of the paint jobs cost $15,000 and had to be repeated every 3 months as the cat’s hair grows out.  Must be nice to have $60,000 a year just to keep your cat painted!"
Not true says Snopes. However, even they say that, "Perhaps if you describe a phenomenon it will come to exist."

Time will tell.
