Productivity is a top concern for business travelers and they are demanding connectivity on-the-go according to a February 2008 Sommers Market Research survey sponsored by Hyatt Place.
According to the study, 78% of business travelers want to be as as productive when traveling as they are in the office.
Furthermore, 50% said they are not allowed any leeway in productivity while on business travel.
As a result, business travelers are choosing hotels based on these needs.
More than 80% of business travelers surveyed said they choose business hotels that have the technology they need to work efficiently
One-third of respondents said they would drive an extra 30 miles or more out of their way to make they stay at a hotel with free high-speed Internet.
