Battery That’s Assembled With Viruses Thanks to Nanotechnology

Could viruses be put to a better use, instead devising plots to ransack the usable? What about using them to fashion microscopic batteries?

As per The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the viruses would go on to be an ingredient of a bigger piece of equipment. Now, it’s possible as MIT engineers have come up with a battery that’s assembled with viruses. Looks strange but engineers have successfully created and installed these micro batteries. So, the labs-on-a-chip and implantable medical sensors would some day be powered with these batteries. The polymer layers would serve as the breeding ground for viruses attracting cobalt oxide, thus forming the anode. It’s cost-effective and extremely supple with usability.
