If you’re going to build yourself a robot, you could build one to do some manual labor for you. It would make sense, putting difficult tasks into the hands of an unfeeling robot. But that’s really no fun. Why not build a party robot to serve you drinks? Wouldn’t that make the effort a bit more worthwhile?
That’s just what Jamie Price did, building the BaR2D2, the most awesome bartending robot I’ve ever seen. It’s radio-controlled, has sound-activated neon lighting, a motorized ice/mixing drawer, a six-bottle shot dispenser and a “motorized beer elevator,” which I think should come standard on every robot ever from now on. Want to build a BaR2D2 of your own? He laid out all the steps at Instructables. Get to it!
