Colorado Inventor Showcase collecting non-perishable donations for the FISH Food Bank

On Tuesday, the DaVinci Institute will collect donations as part of the fifth Colorado Inventors Showcase. The event is from 1:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the University of Denver`s Cable Center, 2000 Buchtel Blvd., Denver.  School children who bring non-perirshable goods will be able to get in free to the student program from 3:00 – 4:30 .  Registration is required so please contact Deb or Jan at 303-666-4133.

 

Shoot hoops at the Colorado Inventor Showcase on Tuesday with EZ Shot Basketball, the fully automated basketball return machine.  All net proceeds from EZ Shot goes to help purchase food and toiletries for the FISH Food Bank in Broomfield.

The Presbyterian Church of Broomfield is going to have several people collecting food and other non-perishable items for FISH of Broomfield from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. The church is organizing trick or treaters to go door to door and collect donations for the local food bank.

 Last year, the church collected more than 400 pounds of food, and they hope to surpass that mark this year.

The showcase brings together entrepreneurs, investors, the media and the public to highlight innovation in Colorado. The DaVinci Institute is a nonprofit based in Louisville.
