Bubble tent
For those who are planning to unwind among nature during the holiday season, French designer Pierre Stephane Dumas has designed a series of luxury tents “BubbleTree” for a fun-filled camping experience. The inflatable bubble tents are decked out with wardrobes, sofas and electric lights for a comfortable stay. And, the series feature CristalBubble, a completely transparent tent for the exhibitionists, while “Cocooning” is the version for those who seek privacy.
This is completely opened to the sky but comes with a surrounding wall to maintain total privacy. Another is a luxury tent called the BubbleLodge, which is more like a hotel room built with an additional space that can either be used as a bathroom or smaller bedroom for the kids. Once inflated, the tent is kept in shape with an airlock at the entrance and a silent pump, which keeps constant pressure on the surrounding walls. CristalBubble is made of recyclable, anti-UV, crystal clear material that can be placed anywhere and set-up all in 15 minutes.
French designer Pierre Stephane Dumas said “A normal tent or camper van means people miss out on these things. So I designed this eccentric shelter with the aim of offering an unusual experience under the stars while keeping all the comfort of a bedroom suite.”
For those who are looking for hire, the bubble tents are available at sites across France for around $635 a night, and for those who are looking outright for purchase, the price is around $11,914.
