Golf Ball Technology May Improve Your Car’s Gas Mileage

Golf Ball Technology May Improve Your Car’s Gas Mileage

 FastSkinz

I get really skeptical whenever I hear about some gizmo that supposedly saves lots of gas, but this dimpled car wrap kind of makes sense. Long ago, golf ball manufacturers discovered that a dimpled surface would help a ball to fly farther through the air with less drag, so why not apply the same thinking to cars? The dimples reduce the wake turbulence caused by early separation of the boundary layer, and while my high school physics is pretty rusty these days, it certainly sounds plausible.

WowWee Spyball

wowwee_spyball_main.jpg

Just don’t take this to a company softball game or it may find its way into the catchers mit

This sort-of-spherical object is WowWee’s Spyball, a tiny roving camera that can capture video or still pics of whatever’s in front of it. It sends footage back to you via Wi-Fi, and you can control it over an Internet connection from pretty much anywhere. Even if you don’t have Internet access, you can still unleash Spyball via an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection.

The Jollbot Robot

The Jollbot Robot

Jollbot – Jumps like a grasshopper, stings like a bee

Jumping over hurdles and rolling through better surfaces is daunting. Similarly, maneuvering over on the lunar and extraterrestrial surfaces is equally challenging for the bots and machines alike. Making robots with ability to move about efficiently in all terrains is expensive and cumbersome, therefore Jollbot is a great introduction here. Created by Rhodri Armour, a PhD student from the University of Bath, the Jollbot is a robot that can jump like a grasshopper and roll like a ball. (w/Video)

 Amazing Daschund Video

The Ab Solo – Helps Chisel Out Those Six-Pack Abs

The Ab Solo - Helps Chisel Out Those Six-Pack Abs

Exercising regularly in a specific pattern can only get monotonous and hence most of us lose interest over a period of time. It is thus always advisable to include a few changes from time to time in order to make the workout regime more interesting. This not only helps in rebuilding motivation but also challenges the body to gear up and shed the flab. In my personal experience of sweating it out at a local gym for years, I have realized that losing weight isn’t as tough as getting six-pack abs. That’s where the Ab Solo can step in, to help you chisel out an spectacular abdomen. This latest abdomen and core training gear seems to be the hottest addition in the arena of fitness training. Joe and Chris Arsenault’s idea has shaped up well to make way for an exceptional abdominal, cardio, as well as core muscle workout without the help of any human assistance.
