An enormous dust cyclone swirls over northeastern China

 
It was a natural phenomenon that would have tested the limits of even Mr Muscle.  Scientists in Japan have found that clouds generated by a massive dust storm in China’s Taklimakan desert in 2007 completed more than one full circle around the planet in just 13 days.

Meteoroligists Attempting To Have New Cloud Formations Named ‘Asperatus’

A unique type of storm cloud could become the first new variety of cloud to be officially identified in more than half a century.

Whipped into fantastical shapes, these clouds hang over the darkening landscape like the harbingers of a mighty storm.

But despite their stunning and frequent appearances, the formations have yet to be officially recognised with a name. (Pics)
