Introduced in 1994 by Newspace Incorporated, a division of Gilbert International and designed by Douglas Ball, the Clipper is a virtual office, a completely self-contained and enclosed capsule designed specially for concentrated and ergonomically accurate computer use. This computer workstation offers perfect seating, viewing, lighting and air supply, as well as the option of total privacy. Sitting inside will give you the feeling of being in the cockpit of a small plane with everything you need on hand.

The Clipper CS-1, a self-contained, encapsulated computer workstation might not appeal a lot to the geeks today when we have a range of high-tech and designer luxury workstations around us, but it was a real innovation at the time it was introduced.
