The “Quiksilver Showdown Over the City” is a spectacular winter event in Canada. This premier end of season event is the largest contest-style winter snow sport event in Vancouver.

The challenge for cellphone designers has been to continually reduce the size of the device, yet make the display as large as possible.
This is the so-called “Scroll” device created by 13 Tech Design. It’s packing a touchscreen-based cellphone, a 10 megapixel camera and 1080p camcorder, various media-playing features, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, and a full-fledged computer that runs on Vista or XP.
Like a cross between a skateboard and inline skates, but with more freedom and simplicity than either, the Orbitwheel is a brand new concept for wheeled sports. Price $145.
Dr Tomoaki Kato had to remove a lot more than a cancerous tumor during an unprecedented operation on a 63-year-old Florida woman earlier this month.
To get to the tumor, which was buried deep in Brooke Zepp’s abdomen and threatened to kill her within months, the organ transplant specialist said he first had to remove her stomach, pancreas, spleen, liver and small and large intestines.
