Electric Car Charging Network Planned For San Francisco Bay Area

Electric Car Charging Network Planned For San Francisco Bay Area

 Charging port

We’ve mentioned Project Better Place before, the company that plans to create a network of charging stations and battery exchange locations for electric cars in Denmark, Israel and Australia. Backed by super-rich investors, now it’s planning an ambitious expansion into the San Francisco Bay area. The idea is to build a $1 billion network of 250,000 charging ports like you see here, 200 battery-swap stations, and a driver service center.

Elektro-Skate Electric Skateboard

I’m really starting to wonder if we, as human beings, are getting tired of doing anything requiring physical activity. I know that I rather like the conveyor belt walkways at theme parks and the cool-yet rather precarious-use of a Segue instead of walking.

Golf Club That Uses Nitrogen-Charged Technology

Golf Club That Uses Nitrogen-Charged Technology

Air Force One Golf Club

It takes a golf swing speed of 110 mph to correctly compress the face of a golf club to maximize the smash factor (energy transfer from the swing to the ball). The fact is most golfers swing much slower and therefore aren’t getting the maximum distance. That’s where PowerBilt’s Air Force One driver comes in.

Smell That Smell, Can’t You Smell That Smell? It’s My Blood Pressure Going Down

I Dealt It, But I Am Lowering My Blood Pressure

This is true fact; I read it on the Internet.

The gas that comes from our bodies, our rears, our behinds… That gas that the boys used to set on fire, and laugh, and run from? That gas. Our smelly, embarrassing gas… is under medical investigation as a substance to lower blood pressure! I am not kidding.

Gas Powered Bicycle

A gas-powered bike? We’ve got those. They’re called motorcycles. Start slapping combustion engines onto your average pedal bicycle and you’re taking one step backward for nature, and one giant backflip for mankind. It can reportedly hit speeds of up to 40 mph, and run on 120 miles-per-needless-gallon.

Who Says Only McDonald’s Can Use Soybeans for Gas

Scientists in the US have turned oil from plants like soybeans and coconuts into jet fuel that is equivalent to kerosene derived from oil.

According to a report in the Scientific American, working with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), scientists at the Energy and Environmental Research Center (EERC) at the University of North Dakota turned these plant oils into fuel that had a similar density, energy content and even freezing point.

Nissan Nuvu Electric Car Looks Like A Solid Gold Ladybug

Gold Lady Bug Electric Car

We’re nuts about tiny electric cars, and this Nissan Nuvu concept car rolled out at the Paris Motor Show is the coolest one yet. The 9-foot minicar seats the driver up front, a passenger seat alongside, and room for a kid or groceries aft. Its green nature extends beyond its whisper-quiet electric motor; many of its raw materials are recycled or organic.
