Amazon Developing Larger Screen Kindle

Amazon Developing Larger Screen Kindle

Amazon has big plans for the Kindle

The Kindle has been a huge success. With that success, some copycats have emerged. Some of those plan to have a larger screen. So, to keep up, Amazon is planning to develop another Kindle according to the WSJ. Supposedly this comes from people who have seen a version of the device. This one would have “a larger screen”.

Here kitty kitty… know wait for the love of god RUN!

Giant lions were roaming around Britain, Europe and North America up to 13,000 years ago, scientists from Oxford University have found.

Remains of giant cats previously discovered were thought to be a species of jaguar or tiger but after DNA analysis they were proved to be lions.

They were 25% bigger than the species of African lion living today, and had longer legs to chase their prey. Continue reading… “‘Supersize’ Lions”

We all need speakers that are as big as a house

Audiophiles will often scoff at professional sound equipment, saying that it isn’t refined enough for truly high performance. Google Experiencing a Deluge of Searching for Sarah Palin

Gov Palin pushing the limits of search technology

Even her choice of footwear, Naughty Monkey red heels, steamed up the search engine.

“It’s terrific,” said MIT’s Henry Lieberman. (Pics)

Large Sheets of Carbon Nanotubes Produced

Large Sheets of Carbon Nanotubes Produced

Ever since scientists first figured out how to make carbon nanotubes-tiny cylinders of carbon with diameters of a few tens of nanometers-they’ve been touted as the material of the future: as strong as steel but far lighter, with the ability to conduct electricity in useful ways. The problem is that because they’re so small, it’s been difficult to make them at scales that would be useful to industry. You can’t really build a lightweight airplane a few microns at a time, after all.

Now a New Hampshire company, Nanocomp Technologies of Concord, says it has overcome that limitation, producing sheets of carbon nanotubes that measure three feet by six feet and promising slabs 100 square feet in area as soon as this summer.
