Sometimes a lemon needs to be called a lemon. At other times, megalithic electronic giants need to have a tear trotting, guffaw inducing satirical comment made about them. Thankfully the fine folks over at The Onion (America’s Finest News Source) have decided to take it upon themselves to do just such a thing, leveling jaw dropping accusations at global giant SONY.

In reality, we have all had our experience with some sort of gizmo that painfully desired to be punted across the room after hours of frustration for some reason and you can simply insert the name of that manufacturer when the name SONY is mentioned.

The Sony Cybershot G3 is a true first. It boasts direct web browsing from the camera via WiFi. The camera can upload photos and videos to Web sites through any public hotspot via its built-in Web browser. It comes with complimentary AT&T WiFi access to Sony’s Easy Upload Home Page all the way up until Jan. 31, 2012. It includes Wi-Fi access at thousands of AT&T hotspots across the United States, including participating coffee shops, some bookstores and quick-serve restaurant locations, plus hundreds of upscale hotels and airports. Some specs on the camera include a dedicated WLAN button, direct links to photo sharing sites like Shutterfly and Picasa Web Albums; video sharing sites like YouTube and Dailymotion.

The robot masters at KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology) have updated their Mahru II robot with the new Mahru Humanoid Robot that is now a dead ringer for Sony’s tiny dancing QRIO robot. Scheduled to make its first major public appearance at Korea’s Robot World conference this week, the main feature of Mahru is its ability to simultaneously move its upper and lower body independently to perform dance moves or human-like actions in the same fashion as Honda’s amazing Asimo robot.
