The photo actually shows a trail of urine and waste water streaming out of the shuttle Discovery.

The beautiful trail in the sky looked like a mysterious celestial event. In reality, it was urine.  Some skygazers were treated to the unexpected view of a bright sparkling glow Wednesday night, created when astronauts aboard the space shuttle Discovery dumped the waste out into space.

A unique type of storm cloud could become the first new variety of cloud to be officially identified in more than half a century.

Whipped into fantastical shapes, these clouds hang over the darkening landscape like the harbingers of a mighty storm.

But despite their stunning and frequent appearances, the formations have yet to be officially recognised with a name. (Pics)

The blur is a visible condensation cloud that often occurs close to the speed of the sound barrier as the B-2 Spirit bomber breaks the sound barrier during a flight over California.

It looks like a fish out of water – but this airborne killing machine is right at home as it soars above the Californian desert.  This amazing picture is of a U.S. military Stealth Bomber quite literally building up steam as it approaches the sound barrier.
