America should not ignore an obvious source of human capital – those from other countries.
What drives innovation? People with creative ideas, intellectual talents and personal ambition do. America has always relied individual and collective breakthroughs in human knowledge and production to enhance our lives and our econom, from advances in science, mathematics and health care to new technologies, products and companies. As the nation continues to find ways to improve the educational and life opportunities of its own citizens to help spark innovation, we should not ignore an obvious source of human capital–those from other nations.

The prison system has many more Hispanics than it did 10 years ago.
Hispanics now comprising half of all people sentenced for felony crimes in the U.S. Programs like Operation Streamline, institute a “zero tolerance policy” for illegal border crossings where immigration crimes have skyrocketed.

England and Wales experienced a 2.45 million increase in population between 2001 and 2009.
Britain’s 2.5 million increase in population over the last ten years has been driven entirely by non-‘white British’ people migrating to the country and higher birth rates among ethnic minority groups, official figures have indicated. Figures published by the Office for National Statistics have shown that between 2001 and 2009 the population of England and Wales increased by 2.45 million to 54.8 million.
Hispanics are currently the fastest growing group.
In a surprising show of growth, Hispanics accounted for more than half of the U.S. population increase over the last decade, exceeding estimates in most states. Pulled by migration to the Sun Belt, America’s population center edged westward on a historic path to leave the Midwest.
