It may be too soon to tell if MySpace can become culturally relevant again.  But, Tim and Chris Vanderhook, the two young investors who bought the faded social networking site from News Corp. in June 2011 now have some semi-solid reason to hope.

Longtime users show no sign that they have tired of posting on Facebook.

No ” Facebook fatigue.” A survey released shows that people who have used the social networking site over a long period – since its founding in 2004, say – show no sign that they have tired of posting pictures, updating weekend plans or just relaying random thoughts.

G-20 internet economy to double by 2016

The G-20 internet economy is projected to reach US$4.2 trillion in 2016, nearly double the size it was in 2010 according to The Boston Consulting Group. G-20 includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the EU, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the U.K., and the U.S.

There are fears of Twitter censorship among bloggers and activists from China, the Middle East and Latin America as new Twitter policies could allow governments to censor messages, stifling free expression.

Facebook upgrading all users to Timeline: 5 things to do first

Facebook’s Timeline feature will become permanent for all users.  Everyone will be updated to Timeline automaically within a few weeks. Once your profile is updated, you have seven days to adjust your profile just how you want. Depending on how much info you put on your profile and how long you’ve been using Facebook could determine if you’ll need that much time, but at the end of the seven days, the change is permanent.

Many of us have lost a wallet or cell phone and have just been about to give up on humanity when a perfect stranger returns them.  It’s the hypothesis of Found in Town, a new Chicago startup, that these moments of unexpected human goodness would be much more frequent if only technology were to lend a helping hand. Found in Town essentially brings the lost-and-found box and puts it on the Web.

If you are with obsessed with Facebook and  can’t stand being away it out of fear of missing a post or a poke from a friend, we found the bed for you. Of course, you could be like most people and just charge your smartphone at the bedside, but this concept is better for the true Facebook fan. It’s called the Facebook bed.
