In-flight Wi-Fi predicted to grow 600% by 2015

Delta will be the first airline to expand its Wi-Fi service to regional jets.

More airlines are beginning to offer Wi-Fi service and travelers are increasingly expected to take advantage of in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity in the coming years.  A new report from In-Stat News found that in-flight Wi-Fi revenue is expected to grow from about $225 million in 2011 to over $1.5 billion in 2015.

In that experiment and others, the search had been going on for more than a decade. But the solution was not found by a laboratory but the players of an online puzzle game.

JiffPad creates personalized medical diagrams via iPad

Attempting to “reinvent healthcare communication,” Jiffpad is an app that lets doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other medical professionals communicate with patients via the iPad.

Allowing users to select from already provided medical diagrams or upload pictures of their own, the app creates a “JiffTalk,” digitizing the communication between a doctor and a patient and creating a digital record of medical instruction that patients can then email home or share with their families…
