Professor Harald Haas, from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, coined the term Li-Fi and is a co-founder of pureLiFi. Li-Fi offers quite a bit of advantages over Wi-Fi and can be used with anything ranging from children’s toys to commercial airplanes.

What if we could use existing technologies to provide Internet access to the more than 4 billion people living in places where the infrastructure can’t support it?
