People in their 20’s have 50 times more friends on Facebook than people over 50 years old.

 The ‘Facebook generation gap’ has been highlighted in a new piece of research which shows that the average 22 year-old claims to have 1,000 or more friends on sites like Facebook compared to those in their fifties who have fewer than 20.

Walmart Struggles with Financially Squeezed Customers to Shop Beyond Necessity

The world’s largest retailer reported the eighth consecutive quarterly decline at its US stores.

Wal-Mart admits it has been struggling to persuade shoppers to buy much beyond the necessities, as rising food and gas bills hit the spending power of US consumers.

2015 global manufacturers will view the U.S. as equal to if not better-than China.

In March, U.S. exports hit a record $173 billion, up 15% from a year-ago and 37% from 2009. According to a new study from The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the good times for “Made in America” are just getting started. (video)

Fewer American Households Own TVs

114.7 million households will own a television in 2012, down from 115.9 million this year.

These days fewer Americans own TV sets, research firm Nielsen has found. For the first time in 20 years Nielsen says it expects a drop in the number of U.S. households with a television set. According to Nielsen the decrease likely has to do with two factors: poverty and the rise of high-tech alternatives.
