Wow. Five years after it launched, Twitter has finally added native photo-sharing to its service. Starting now, all Twitter.com users have a camera icon that lets you add a photo to your tweet.

Images that are 3MB or less in size can be uploaded and embedded into a tweet…

Amazing maps show where Twitter and Flickr are used around the world

Google activates 500,000 Android devices every day

 Android had become the most popular operating system among smartphone users in the United States.

The vice president for engineering at Google, Andy Rubin, said in a Twitter message Tuesday that the company was now activating over 500,000 Android devices each day.  Andy leads the company’s Google Android platform.

This is a  frightening prospect that any social media posting, even years old, can be used in background checks.

A controversial firm which scours social media sites to check on job applicants has bee approved by the Federal Trade Commission. The approval means anything you’ve ever said in public on sites including Facebook, Twitter and even Craigslist could be seen by your would-be employer.
