A European start-up named “Hypersonic” is aiming to revolutionize air travel by making it possible to fly from Europe to Australia in just four hours using hydrogen-powered planes.
According to the company’s CEO, Maria Rodriguez, “Hypersonic’s mission is to make air travel faster, cheaper and more sustainable. With our hydrogen-powered planes, we believe we can achieve this goal and bring people closer together.”
The company has already begun developing a prototype of its hydrogen-powered plane and plans to have it ready for testing within the next two years. Rodriguez stated, “We have a team of experienced engineers and scientists who are working tirelessly to develop the technology needed to make this possible.”
Hypersonic’s technology is based on a concept called “air-breathing” propulsion, which allows the plane to draw in air from the atmosphere and compress it, before mixing it with hydrogen and igniting it to create a high-speed jet of hot gas. This method is more efficient and produces fewer emissions compared to traditional jet engines, which rely on burning fossil fuels.
The company has also partnered with several organizations, including the European Space Agency, to help develop the necessary technology and infrastructure to support hydrogen-powered planes.
According to Rodriguez, “We believe that the future of air travel is hydrogen-powered, and we are committed to making it a reality. Our ultimate goal is to make air travel accessible to everyone, regardless of their income or location.”
If successful, Hypersonic’s technology could revolutionize the aviation industry and make long-distance air travel faster, cheaper, and more sustainable than ever before.
