Mitsubishi Motors has announced the launch of the world’s first real-time cinematic vehicle configurator, which will enable customers to configure and visualise their vehicles in a more immersive and interactive way. The configurator is set to be launched in the UK in May 2023, and will be available on the company’s website.
According to Mitsubishi Motors UK’s managing director, Rob Lindley, “We are excited to be launching this cutting-edge technology, which will provide our customers with a more engaging and interactive way to configure and visualise their vehicles. This is a game-changing technology that we believe will revolutionize the way people buy cars.”
The real-time cinematic vehicle configurator uses state-of-the-art computer graphics and 3D modelling technology to create a more realistic and immersive visual experience. Customers will be able to select their preferred vehicle model, colour and specification, and then view a 360-degree image of the vehicle in real-time.
The configurator also includes interactive features such as the ability to change the lighting and surroundings, as well as the option to take a virtual test drive. Customers can also save and share their configurations on social media, allowing them to get feedback from friends and family.
“This technology will enable our customers to have a more informed and personalised buying experience,” said Lindley. “By providing them with a more detailed and realistic view of their vehicle, we can help them to make more confident and informed decisions.”
The real-time cinematic vehicle configurator is part of Mitsubishi Motors’ broader strategy to embrace digital technologies and enhance the customer experience. The company has been investing heavily in digitalisation, with a focus on developing new technologies to support its business operations and improve customer engagement.
“We believe that digitalisation is the key to unlocking the full potential of our business,” said Lindley. “By embracing new technologies and investing in innovation, we can provide our customers with the best possible experience, and continue to grow and evolve as a company.”
The launch of the real-time cinematic vehicle configurator is a significant milestone for Mitsubishi Motors, and demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the automotive industry. As digital technologies continue to transform the way we live and work, it is clear that companies like Mitsubishi Motors will play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of mobility.
