My Week of Eating Nothing But Candy

candy6543

Mmmmmmm candy.

Robb Posch undertook an experiment in which he ate nothing but candy for a week. Oh, the things we do in the name of science! …or blogging, as the case may be.

Since I am apparently going to eat peanut butter candy every day, I went with Reese’s Peanut Butter Bells. Then after snacking on Nestle Crunch Bells, Gobstopper Snowballs, Christmas SweeTarts, and gummy reindeer, by night time it was becoming somewhat clear: candy isn’t very filling…

How often we forget that Santa has to deliver presents to all the underwater children as well

For this weeks photos we dipped slightly into the left dimension. Unlike the right dimension, or the upper or lower ones, the left dimension is surprisingly close to left field. Hence the expression, “Don’t put all your eggs in a cloud basket”. Yes, we know. These are all words that don’t belong on the same page together, but will somehow make sense after seeing what’s below. (Pics)

He called himself the “King of Frogs” and, for the most part,  his regal appearance
caused everyone to disregard the fact that he was a delusional psychopath.

This week we have searched high and low for the world’s most odd photography, and we found most of this stuff in the “low” part of our searching. We were also searching for a word beyond “eclectic” and toyed with “extreme eclectic” and”turbo eclectic” but nothing really seemed to fit. So tell us your word or phrase to describe these photos, and submit your idea for a funny caption below. (Pics)

After the election results were announced, they just looked at each other and screamed

We are trying something new this week – the caption challenge. After reading through all the craziness below, we’d like to test your skills at writing great captions on the final photo. Just submit your ideas in the comment section below, and we will return the favor by sending you a 24-carat gold brass-plated tin virtual hug.  The Deluxe Muffin even comes with its own hamster wheel

Each week we try to find the most unusual photos in the world. At the same time, we begin to scream, do crazy Norwegian dances, argue amongst ourselves, and even eat artificial vegetables in an effort to devise an appropriate caption for the photos. It is this combination of amazing photo, couple with a “left hook” kind of caption, that leads us to our final masterpiece. Well, it a masterpiece in an Andy Warhol sort of way. (Pics)

Bob the Fly could spot bad motor skills from a mile away. He would be safe now.

With Halloween fast approaching, even the odd kids will want to become a little odder. The spooks want to become spookier, the ghosts, ghostlier, and the water, wetter. We’re pretty sure we don’t care about any of that. Just take a look at these images and you’ll quickly learn not to care as well. (Pics)

It would have made a great purse except one of the legs kept twitching

A picture is worth a thousand words. But what if they’re the wrong thousand words? And what if they’re words in some foreign language that you can’t read? What if you take your pictures to the bank and your banker says your pictures are only worth 720 words this week? The exchange rate for words can be brutal at times. Maybe someone should propose a word bailout package! (Pics)

In Kenya, the name of the game translates roughly into “who gets to be the speedbump”

Along life’s journey we must contend with many unusual experiences that take us far outside of our comfort zone. But comfort zones were meant to be pierced, mangled, crushed, flavored with spicy oils, and burned to the ground. Something like that. We hope you enjoy this journey, and please, check your comfort zone at the “loser door”. (Pics)
