Whenever you talk about hoverboards, the first thing that usually comes to mind is that awesome scene from Back to the Future Part II.  It is now one step closer to reality. Arx Pax, a California startup, just built a real, working hoverboard. The company is attempting to crowdfund the Hendo Hoverboard as a proof of concept for its hover engine technology — it’s not quite the floating skateboard Marty McFly rode, but it’s an obvious precursor to the imagined ridable: a self-powered, levitating platform with enough power to lift a fully grown adult.

Huge 43% growth in online video watching in one year

People on the Internet watched 38.2 billion free videos online in the second quarter of 2014.

A new report from Adobe has found that we are wasting more time than ever watching video, and we are increasingly doing it online. What’s more, “online” no longer means “on a computer” — it increasingly means on a smartphone, a game console, or a set-top box like a Roku or Amazon Fire TV.

This 3D printer has been developed to build cheap, sustainable houses using a clay-like paste.

WASP, an Italian 3D printer company, demonstrated a giant, three-armed printer they created at Maker Faire Rome. WASP’s 3D printer is unique as it can be assembled on site within two hours, and then filled with mud and fiber to build extremely cheap houses in some of the most remote places on Earth.
