The popular author lays out his argument for being a big fish in a little pond in his latest book, “David and Goliath,” a work that aims to overturn conventional notions about what makes for a disadvantage and who should be considered an underdog.

Philip M. Parker is also the most wide-ranging of authors. The phrase “shoes and ships and sealing wax, cabbages and kings” is not the half a percent of it. He has authored some 188 books related to shoes, ten about ships, 219 books about wax, six about sour red cabbage pickles, and six about royal jelly supplements…

Family Of Sci Fi Author Philip K. Dick To Sue Google Over Name of Nexus One Phone

Don’t screw with Dick!

The family of author Philip K. Dick is threatening to sue Google for infringement of intellectual property rights over the name of its new mobile phone Nexus One.

Isa Dick Hackett, daughter of the U.S. author who wrote Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? which the Blade Runner film is based on, claims some of the phone’s features use names taken from her father’s book.

She has sent a letter to Google demanding that the online giant changes the name of its new phone, which was launched as a direct rival to the iPhone.
