Cyber Gym: Israeli hacking school that trains corporate cyber warriors

Israel’s new state-of-the-art “Cyber Gym” is where IT and infrastructure company employees train to defend against cyber attacks. The facility is a series of small buildings in the shadow of the looming Orot Rabin power station on Israel’s northern coastline. It was inaugurated this month by the Israel Electric Corp (IEC), which has experienced its fair share of cyber attacks.

Big data needs to be fast and diverse or it’s useless

Companies need to focus on making this big data fast, intuitive and easy to manipulate.

In the past year big data has become one of the most buzzed about topics, and potentially overhyped, phrases of the year. Big data has huge disruptive potential and the flood of attention should be no surprise. A recent IDC report stated that the business analytics software market grew by 14.1 percent in 2011 and will continue to grow to reach $50.7 billion in 2016, all driven by the focus on big data.

Incredible Opening Ceremony as China Celebrates the Shanghai World Expo 2010

Shanghai celebrated the opening of the 2010 World Expo today with a lavish display of fireworks, fountains and laser lights.  Like the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the event showcased China’s growing economic and geopolitical sway. (Pics)
