Frito-Lay hopes to make some big noise with a quieter version of its biodegradable SunChips bag. The company introduced a biodegradable bag for the snacks in April of 2009 with a big marketing effort to play up its environmentally friendly nature as it was made from plants and not plastic and could break down in compost.
But a Surrey theme park is offering the snacks – which contain real dried insects – in traditional pink and white paper bags as a trial.
On average boys need 10 per cent more sourness and 20 per cent more sweetness in their grub to recognise how tasty it is. However, boys prefer wild and extreme tastes compared to the muted flavours favoured by girls, the figures revealed.
