iTunes in the Cloud has one more good thing.

At WWDC 2011, Steve Jobs unveiled iTunes in the Cloud and “one more thing” goodie iTunes Match, a move that TuneCore CEO and founder Jeff Price believes will monetize piracy and reset the music industry.

iTunes in the Cloud will allow users to download any songs purchased in iTunes to all of their devices, at no extra charge (up to 5GB of music). Once the service is launched — likely Monday — any music purchased on iTunes from here will be synced automatically…

Cilantro tastes so good but may have a plethora of pesticides on it.

Glowing paper for that special time of day.

The ‘Glow in the Dark Loo Roll’ is ideal for cleaning up things that go dump in the night. This toilet tissue will cast its funky green glow across the bathroom, freeing desperate guests and over-refreshed toilet-goers from that awkward pants-round-the-ankles search routine in the dead of night…

Rats are the latest pet craze in New York City.

In New York City it’s good to be a rat, where rats are the latest hot trend in pets. New Yorkers even held a rat fashion show this past weekend.  The pet rats wore couture gowns and tuxes many humans would love to wear – in their sizes, of course.  (pics and video)

Hüttenpalast

Want a great concept for a new hotel?  Just  convert an old, unused vacuum factory space into a budget boutique hotel.  And even better, use refurbished mobile campers for rooms. Berlin’s new and attractive Hüttenpalast (that’s German for “hut palace”) has done just that.  It is in the beautiful old workers’ quarter of Neukölln: allowing guests to experience the cozy camping feeling, without the bugs and in the middle of a vibrant city. But it’s not exactly  ‘roughing it’ in the solitary sense.  The caravans are beautifully remodeled.  The bathrooms are “luxurious”.   And guests can socialize with each other without the rowdiness usually associated with cheap hostels. Which is worse, the spill or the dispersant?

In yet another alarming glimpse at the long-term effects of the BP disaster, the preliminary findings of two new studies show that the nearly two million gallons of toxic dispersants applied to the more than 200 million gallons of oil that gushed from its exploded rig may have been more damaging to the ecosystem as a whole than the oil alone…
