BPA is in found in food can linings.

While more and more research is linking BPA to a number of health problems including cancer, reproductive problems, behavioral problems in children, liver problems, and diabetes, heart disease has been less well known.

While one study at the University of Exeter showed a correlation between BPA and heart disease, it didn’t show a cause and effect relationship, and therefore, it couldn’t predict future heart health…

The consumption of diet soft drinks may be associated with Type 2 diabetes and development of the condition known as metabolic syndrome — high blood pressure, abdominal obesity and other risk factors according to some studies. Now a 10-year epidemiological study has found a link between diet soft drinks and cardiovascular disease.

The more calories older people consumed, the more likely they were to have mild cognitive impairment.

Overeating may increase your risk of memory loss.  Older people who consumed more than 2,143 calories a day had more than double the risk of a type of memory loss called mild cognitive impairment compared to those who ate fewer than 1,500 calories a day, according to a study being released Sunday by the American Academy of Neurology on its website (aan.com).

They are usually cooked in a mixture of boiling water and/or oil, but are often pan fried or deep fried. Depending upon the type, noodles may be dried or refrigerated before cooking.

A preference for fatty foods has a genetic basis, according to researchers, who discovered that people with certain forms of the CD36 gene may like high-fat foods more than those who have other forms of this gene.

The results help explain why some people struggle when placed on a low-fat diet and may one day assist people in selecting diets that are easier for them to follow. The results also may help food developers create new low-fat foods that taste better…
