Energy drink habit among teens is causing irreversible damage to teeth as the high acidity levels in the drinks erode tooth enamel.

Scientists have warned that teenagers’ love of energy drinks is taking a terrible toll on their teeth.  A study published in the Academy of General Dentistry charted an alarming increase in the consumption of both energy and sports drinks among young adults in the U.S. who use them to help get through the day.

Internet Over Use Linked To Depression

There is a strong link between heavy internet use and depression, UK psychologists have said. The study, reported in the journal Psychopathology, found 1.2% of people surveyed were “internet addicts”, and many of these were depressed.

The Leeds University team stressed they could not say one necessarily caused the other, and that most internet users did not suffer mental health problems. The conclusions were based on 1,319 responses to an on-line questionnaire. Recruitment was via links on social networking sites. People were asked how much they used the internet and for what purposes. They were also asked a series of questions to assess whether they suffered from depression.

The Danger Bomb Clock

Getting out of bed in the morning is one of my hates. Rather then wake up I’d rather just ignore the alarm clock by leaning over to put it on snooze. The Danger Bomb Clock might change this bad habit though as it requires you to defuse a bomb every morning.
