Fewer flights and smaller aircraft leading to many more passengers per flight.

Airline travel today mostly stinks.  It is thanks to higher costs, worse service, and truly uncomfortable in-flight conditions. But understanding why life in the air isn’t particularly good takes a little work. Actually, it takes a lot of work because the Department of Transportation’s new assessment of the airline industry runs a lugubrious 78 pages and is laden with enough charts, statistics, and graphs to make Battlefield Earth seem entertaining.

Growing number of Americans struggle to keep their cars on the road

Drivers Distracted by Their Dogs When Driving According to AAA

Dogs are a distraction to drivers.

Drivers face additional risk when man’s best friend is along for the ride, according to a national survey by AAA and Kurgo Pet Travel Products.  More than 43 percent of Colorado households include a dog, according to a Wednesday release from AAA Colorado.

Hypermiling Improves Gas Mileage 

Bob Winger is that guy on the highway, puttering along in the far right lane.

As Chevrolet Tahoes, Cadillac Escalades and a host of other cars and trucks whip by in the passing lanes, Winger slowly accelerates up to the 60-mph speed limit on Interstate 64 in Newport News. He eases up on the gas a bit, fixated on a display next to his speedometer that shows his mileage.
