According to a new report by Gartner. part of the reason is Apple turns over its inventory once every five days. If you think about that’s pretty amazing. Apple ells hundreds of millions of hardware gadgets all over the world and yet it doesn’t actually need to stockpile its goods.

More than 55 million homes have at least one Apple product.
According to CNBC’s All-America Economic survey, half of all U.S. households own at least one Apple product. That’s more than 55 million homes with at least one iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac computer. And one-in-10 homes that aren’t currently in that group plan to join it in the next year.

Apple’s new iBooks 2 initiative has the potential to vastly improve the K-12 learning experience. They will offer attractive digital textbooks with interactive features like videos, animations, definitions, flashcards, and quizzes. But, with the proprietary nature of the software it means that publishers, parents, and schools will be locked into Apple’s ecosystem.
The market appears to anticipate rapid growth from Apple.

For 2012, Apple is likely to pass Exxon Mobil as the most profitable corporation in the Fortune 500. It already passed the oil giant in market capitalization for a while last year. The market appears to anticipate rapid growth from Apple comparable to that of the past two years. The stock has reached several all-time highs recently and now trades around $425, up nearly 25 percent in the past year.
