Future Robot’s Furo at CES 2014
One of the many robots featured at CES 2014 is Future Robot’s FURo-S that is a service robot with a simulated human face for a head. Carrying a screen, the robot is designed with advertising or shopping in mind, and reacts to people through its facial, gesture and voice recognition all with an emoting face.

All revellers fall into one of eight different personality types which are given away by their drinking techniques, a leading psychologist has concluded.
Dr Glenn Wilson, a consultant psychologist at King’s College, London, observed over 500 drinkers in bars last month.
He analysed drinkers’ body language and then advised on their openness to being approached.

Apple has filed a patent for a new multi-touch gesture language that will allows us program gestures into our computers. Similar to the zoom and rotate gestures currently programmed into the iPhone and MacBook multi-touch touchpads, the new patent describes a Sign Language for touch screens, which uses a minimum of twenty five chords, thirty one combinations and thirteen different motions to tell the OS what it is you want to do. Additionally, the patent specififies the Control, Alt, Shift and Command keys as modifiers.
